Writing Assignment #1

            The image I chose was an image of a dog giving a piggyback ride to a koala. The image looks like it is an old photo taken out of the photo album and scanned for the Internet. The reason I chose this image is because of the subject matter. I really like dogs and koala’s to me are pretty cool and also are not easy to come by let alone having one on the back of a dog. The subject of the picture is basically centered in the photo so it is closed frame but it goes well with the background of the photo with the plants in the back. The photo is pretty well balanced with nothing out weighing anything giving the image symmetrical balance. There is also an alternative point of view to the image considering the koala is with a dog in an area that doesn’t really seem fit for either the koala and the dog. I don’t really know if the image was staged or not but a photo like that is one you can look at on a gloomy day and feel happy just looking at it after.
